[A tired looking ninja sits in the view screen, watching a much more energetic chimchar dig through his backpack. It has a name tag stuck to its stomach that reads "Hello, my name is: SARUTOBI".

It's his first time actually posting publicly, and he hadn't planned to do it at all, but circumstances have changed. Even if his memories of the past few days are fuzzy and jumbled, he knows he ran into some people who knew him - and he knows they're likely to recall it at least somewhat as well.

Their timelines are all over the place. The only way he's ever going to figure out what they all know of him is to reveal his presence in full.]

This is Uchiha Itachi.

I am not a temporary resident. I have been here.

I just thought I should make that known.

And definitely younger. Dunno why I didn't notice that before.

He's showing too much emotion, then. His expression immediately turns more stoic, gaze uncaring.]

Perhaps you are just that dense.

That Uchiha thing? Do you talk to my clan members often?

Just Sasuke and Obito. They're some of my best friends.

You guys do this thing where you try to make it so no one can ever understand what you're thinking or feeling. Like putting up this massive brick wall.

...There are a lot of days where I feel like I'm just banging my head against Sasuke's. It gets tiring!

If someone doesn't want to confide in you, then perhaps you should leave them be.

[Though in reality he's glad to hear of anyone becoming friends with his brother.]

I don't know you, no matter who might have appeared with my face before.

I don't force anyone to tell me anything. It's just I'm not going to leave them to feel alone when they really don't want to be alone.

I think you may misjudge when someone wants or doesn't want to be left alone. I don't want your company.
